Along the way these privateers realized that the world is a very big place, it would be easy enough to just disappear with some of those riches to live a long and well-appointed life. This was the dawn of pirates and it spawns so many creative characters in myth and reality that “Pirate” remains one of the most popular costumes every Halloween.
